767-300s and 737-800s dominate March FATs

Cargo Facts logged seventy-nine freighter aircraft transactions (FATs) in March, nearly on par with February 2021 (eighty-one) , up from fifty-eight in January and well above average . The freighters involved ranged from a 747-8F down to a CRJ200 F but, a s has been the case multiple times in recent months, the transactions were dominated by 767-300s and 737-800s, with fifteen and eighteen of each involved in March’s transactions. In the case of the 767s, almost all of them were for express or e-commerce carriers , but of note is Icelandair, which is set to become a new 767F operator. March also saw new 737 Classic operators in Malaysia-based Kargo Xpress and Indonesia-based Rimbun Air. Below is a complete list of FATs recorded last month. These transactions originally appeared on Page 1 4 of our April issue , available to subscribers. UPS took delivery of a 747-8F (65781) from Boeing. The aircraft was ferried from Everett (PAE) to Louisville (SDF) [FAT 006034]. U.A.E.-based Aquiline International acquired a 747-400BCF (25152, ex-Cathay Pacific). The aircraft was ferried to Kansas City (MCI) for maintenance [FAT 006045]. Belarus-based Rubystar Airways took delivery of a 747-400BDSF (24311, ex-Air Cargo Global), on lease from Aquiline International [FAT 006048]. UPS acquired an MD-11F (48803, ex-Lufthansa Cargo) [FATs 006095-6096]. CMA CGM placed two A330-200Fs with Air Belgium for CMI operation (1594 and 1584, both ex-Qatar Airways) [FATs 006038-6039]. Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM) acquired a 767-300ER (29604, ex-American Airlines) from Jetran , and inducted it for conversion by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in Tel Aviv (TLV) [FATs 006016 and 006018]. CAM also acquired another 767-300ER (32975, ex-ANA) [FAT 006036]. Northern Air Cargo took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (29431, ex-American Airlines) on lease from CAM [FAT 006017]. Hangzhou-based YTO Cargo Airlines acquired two 767-300ERs (33423 and 33424, ex-Air Canada), and inducted the first (33423) for conversion by IAI at TLV [FATs 006023-6026 and 006074]. Icelandair Group and Titan Aircraft Investments (TAI) signed a sale, conversion, and leaseback deal for two 767-300ERs [FATs 006027-6032]. Amazon took delivery of two 767-300BDSFs (27448 and 29432, both ex-American Airlines) on lease from CAM, and placed them with Air Transport International (ATI) for CMI operation [FATs 006033, 006088 and 006049-6050]. Amazon also placed its first owned 767-300BDSF (25274, ex-WestJet) with ATI for CMI operation [FAT 006089]. Air Canada ferried a 767-300ER (24306) to TLV, ahead of conversion with IAI under a sale-leaseback deal with CAM [FAT 006035]. Jetran acquired a 767-300ER (33088) from American Airlines [FAT 006051]. FedEx Express took delivery of two 767-300Fs (63122 and 66245) from Boeing. The aircraft were ferried to Indianapolis (IND) and Memphis (MEM), respectively [FATs 006076 and 006097]. DHL Express inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (33089, ex-American Airlines). The aircraft was ferried to Singapore (QPG) to be converted by Boeing at the ST Engineering facility [FAT 006094]. AerSale acquired a 757-200 (25697, ex-American Airlines) [FAT 006053]. AerSale also inducted for conversion a 757-200 (32400, ex-American Airlines) at its own facility in Goodyear (GYR) [FAT 006073]. SF Airlines took redelivery of a 757-200PCF (33098, ex-TUI Airways) [FAT 006075]. Titan Airways took delivery of its second A321-200P2F (1250, ex-Thomas Cook Airlines), on lease from BBAM [FATs 006099-6100]. Macquarie AirFinance placed an order for four 737-800SF conversions with Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) [FATs 006010-6013]. KF Aerospace acquired a 737-800 (32799, ex-Miami Air International), and placed a conversion order with AEI [FATs 006019 and 006046]. ASL Aviation Holdings took redelivery of two 737-800BCFs (33596 and 34178, both ex-Ryanair). The former was placed with K-Mile Air [FAT 006037], while the latter was placed with ASL Airlines France [FAT 006020]. S7 Airlines took redelivery of its second 737-800BCF (29939, ex-Ryanair), on lease from GECAS [FATs 006021-6022]. China Postal Airlines took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (30685, ex-Shanghai Airlines) from Boeing [FAT 006042]. Ethiopian Airlines took delivery of a 737-800SF (32903, ex-Pegasus), on lease from GA Telesis [FATs 006077-6078]. Lithuania-based AviaAM Leasing placed an order for five 737-800BCF conversions with Boeing , and inducted the first aircraft for conversion in Jinan (TNA) [FATs 006079-6084]. BlackRock placed an order for three more 737-800SF conversions with AEI [FATs 006085-6087]. EFW inducted for conversion the first A320-200 (2737, ex-IndiGo). The aircraft is being converted at the ST Engineering facility in Singapore (XSP) [FAT 006106]. Malaysia-based Kargo Xpress took delivery of its first 737-400F (26605, ex-Connect Cargo), on lease from Vallair [FAT 006014]. Mexico-based Aeronaves TSM acquired two 737-400Fs (28151, ex-Qantas, and 26529, ex-Colt) [FATs 006015 and 006068]. Aeronaves TSM inducted for conversion its first 737-400 (28150, ex-Comair), and ordered five additional 737-400SF conversions [FATs 006098, 006043 and 006090-6093]. Indonesia-based Rimbun Air acquired its first 737-300F (26288, ex-China Postal Airlines) [FAT 006054]. USA Jet Airlines acquired six MD-88s, placed an order for three MD88SF conversions with AEI, and added three options. The carrier also inducted the first unit (53259, ex-Delta) [FATs 006055-6067]. Mexico-based TUM AeroCarga took delivery of a CRJ200PF (7209, ex-Amazonas Uruguay), on lease from AvMax [FAT 006071].
