Air Canada Vice President of Cargo Jason Berry will join Cargo Facts Symposium 2022 for a presentation on “Freighter conversions mechanics: insider tips for improving your conversion’s results” on Friday, Oct. 21, at 9:45 a.m. PST.

Cargo Facts Symposium, the essential event for stakeholders in the air cargo industry, returns Oct. 19-21 at the InterContinental San Diego.

Berry was appointed to his role at Air Canada in January 2021 to lead the development and implementation of customer-centric initiatives and solutions, as well as the airline’s cargo business and profitability strategy.

Air Canada has expanded its cargo division dramatically under Berry’s leadership. Most recently, the carrier moved into the large-widebody market with an order for two factory-built 777Fs in early August and two, new, previously unidentified 767-300Fs were imported into Canada to join the Air Canada fleet in May.

At the same time, Air Canada is sending its own 767-300ERs for conversion with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and expects to have six 767 freighters by the end of the year. The carrier only restarted its own freighter operations in late 2021 after more than twenty-five years.

Berry has more than twenty-five years of cargo experience in the aviation industry. Prior to joining Air Canada, he held leadership positions at Alaska Airlines, Cargolux Airlines, Menzies Aviation and McGee Air Services.

Since 1994, Cargo Facts Symposium has been the premier air freight event of the year, and it remains a vital source of information and connection for the industry. The 2022 Symposium will once again bring together an exclusive group of aircraft lessors, service providers and operators.
