In another sign of a robust peak season to come, Frankfurt-based logistics provider Dachser said it will be organizing charter flights on its Frankfurt (FRA)-Shanghai (PVG) route again this year, expanding capacity between central Europe and Asia in anticipation of the period of increased demand for air freight.
“We are expecting this year’s peak season to be another strong one,” said Timo Stroh, head of global airfreight, although recent reports on global airfreight volumes indicate that this coming holiday season may be a bit more relaxed than last year.
In September, the company expanded its partnership with Berlin-based cargo.one – a digital booking platform to enable Dachser’s airfreight employees to search for, compare, book and confirm cargo capacity across multiple airlines.
