September transactions dip in record 2021

Cargo Facts recorded fifty-one Freighter Aircraft Transactions (FATs) in September — the lowest number seen so far this year. In previous years, this would have been among the busiest months in terms of freighter orders, acquisitions, deliveries, inductions and placements, but not in 2021. Apart from January and September, the number of FATs every month this year has consistently hovered around eighty, with a peak of 100 in June. Still, September’s transactions involved a diverse mix of aircraft, ranging from a 747-8F down to an ATR 72. One highlight was the order for two new 777Fs from France-based CMA CGM . Below is a complete list of FATs recorded last month. These transactions originally appeared in our October 2021 issue , available to subscribers, and are in our FAT Database . UPS took delivery of a 747-8F (65778) from Boeing. The aircraft was ferried to Louisville (SDF) [FAT 006581]. JetOneX leased two 747-400Fs (30760 and 30761) from China Airlines. Both aircraft are still parked in Victorville (VCV) [FATs 006585-6586]. Atlas Air began operating two 747-400Fs on an ACMI basis for FedEx Express [FATs 006612-6613]. DHL Express took delivery of a 777F (66863) from Boeing and placed it with AeroLogic for CMI operation [FATs 006526-6527]. FedEx Express took delivery of two 777Fs (66257 and 40679) from Boeing, and ferried them from Everett (PAE) to Memphis (MEM) [FATs 006580 and 006605]. Lufthansa Cargo took delivery of a 777F (67146) from Boeing, and ferried it to Frankfurt (FRA) [FAT 006619]. CMA CGM placed an order for two 777Fs with Boeing [FATs 006620-6621]. FedEx retired an MD-10-30F (48297) and ferried it to Victorville (VCV) for storage [FAT 006536]. DHL Express took redelivery of an A330-300P2F (1477, ex-Hi Fly) after conversion with Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) in Dresden (DRS), and ferried it to Malta (MLA) for paint [FAT 006598]. Amerijet took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (27449, ex-Omni Air) on lease from Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM) [FAT 006531]. FedEx Express took delivery of a 767-300F (66864) from Boeing. The aircraft was ferried to Indianapolis (IND) [FAT 006597]. DHL Express took delivery of a 767-300BCF (33089, ex-American Airlines) after conversion with Boeing in Singapore (QPG) and ferried it to Bahrain (BAH) [FAT 006614]. DHL also acquired a 767-300ER (41746, ex-LATAM) from Jetran [FATs 006609 and 006611]. Jetran acquired a 767-300ER (40592) from LATAM Airlines [FAT 006610]. AerSale inducted for conversion a 757-200 (32387, ex-American Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with Precision Aircraft Solutions at the AerSale facility in Goodyear (GYR) [FAT 006584]. AerSale also took redelivery of a 757-200PCF (32400, ex-American Airlines), and placed it on lease to Amerijet [FATs 006593-6594]. AerSale also acquired three 757-200s (32388, 27303 and 27809) from American Airlines [FATs 006599-6600 and 006602]. SF Airlines inducted for conversion a 757-200 (30548, ex-American Airlines). The aircraft will be converted by Precision Aircraft Solutions in Chengdu (CTU) [FAT 006589]. YTO Cargo Airlines acquired a 757-200 (32380, ex-American Airlines) from AerSale, and inducted it for conversion with Precision Aircraft Solutions in Xiamen [FATs 006393 and 006601]. GTLK Europe inducted for conversion an A321-200 (2342). The aircraft will return to SmartLynx after conversion with EFW in Guangzhou (CAN) [FAT 006577]. SmartLynx Malta took delivery of an A321-200P2F (1017, ex-R Airlines) on lease from Vallair, and will operate it in ACMI service for DHL Express [FATs 006625-6626]. AviaAM Leasing inducted for conversion a 737-800 (29782, ex-Turkish Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing in Jinan (TNA) [FAT 006579]. Bahrain-based Texel Air took redelivery of its second 737-700FC (34170, ex-Transavia), following conversion to freighter configuration by PEMCO [FAT 006528]. GECAS took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (29940, ex-Ryanair) after conversion with Boeing at TNA [FAT 006587]. GECAS also took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (33547, ex-Ryanair), and placed it on lease to Atran [FATs 006606-6607]. Macquarie AirFinance inducted for conversion a 737-800 (32361, ex-SunExpress). The aircraft will be converted by Aeronautical Engineers Inc. in Miami (MIA) [FAT 006596]. JP Lease inducted for conversion a 737-800 (29927, ex-AeroMexico). The aircraft will be converted by Boeing in Shanghai (PVG) [FAT 006608]. BBAM inducted for conversion a 737-800 (30420, ex-SunExpress). The aircraft will be converted by Boeing in Jinan (TNA) [FAT 006615]. ASL Airlines took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (35552, ex-Ryanair), after conversion to freighter configuration by Boeing at TNA [FAT 006616]. DHL Express acquired two 737-800s (28318 and 32278, both ex-SAS) from Jetran [FATs 006617-6618]. Spectre Air Capital inducted for conversion a 737-800 (30197, ex-SAS). The aircraft will be converted by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in Tianjin (TSN) [FAT 006623]. Spectre Air Capital also took redelivery of a 737-800BDSF (30468, ex-SAS), following conversion with IAI at TSN [FAT 006624]. U.A.E.-based Sky One took delivery of a 737-400F (25102, ex-Alaska Airlines) on lease from Avmax following conversion from Combi to full-freighter with PEMCO in Tampa (TPA) [FAT 006592]. FedEx Express took delivery of an ATR 72-600F (1686) from ATR [FAT 006622]. Indonesia-based Pelita Air Service took delivery of an ATR 72-500F (548, ex-Poste Air Cargo), on lease from Nordic Aviation Capital [FAT 006588]. Amazon took delivery of an ATR 72-500F (736, ex-Air Caraibes) on lease from ACIA Aero Leasing, and placed it with Silver Airways for CMI operation [FATs 006603-6604]. Bangladesh-based NXT Air took delivery of an ATR 72-200F (395, ex-Solenta Aviation) on lease from ACIA Aero Leasing [FAT 006583].
