United Cargo, ANA westbound launch completes trans-Pacific joint venture

United Airlines Cargo and All Nippon Airways (ANA) have added westbound trans-Pacific routes to a cargo joint venture that the two carriers launched in 2016. The expanded terms now cover a multidirectional trans-Pacific cargo network.

Under the now-completed JV, customers with shipments originating in the United States or Canada, bound for Japan, enjoy the same capacity and options as customers with shipments originating in Japan and bound for the U.S. or Canada.

Multi-carrier agreements offer additional destinations, quicker transport times and more flight options for shippers. The UA-ANA cargo joint-venture network includes 360 nonstop flights a week to 15 destinations.

Booking processes remain unchanged, and shippers are advised to contact UA for bookings on 016 air waybills and ANA for bookings on 205 air waybills. United Cargo also advised shippers to tender shipments to the freight facility of the air waybill owner (either UA or ANA).
