Yesterday, Cargo Community System Japan Co. (CCSJ) and Luxembourg-based IT service provider CHAMP Cargosystems signed an agreement in a new partnership to design a cloud-based platform that will feature “IT infrastructure, an operational messaging platform and customer invoicing,” to address the needs of the Japanese cargo community.

This project will be an extension of CHAMP and CCSJ’s existing relationship, in which CCSJ utilizes CHAMP’s Traxon service, allowing carriers to track any shipment connected to any specific flight.

The aim of CCSJ is to connect airlines, freight forwarders and handling agents. In reference to this new endeavor, Kazuo Hirabayashi, CEO of CCSJ, stated that “CHAMP is well suited to bring CCSJ’s transformation to fruition,” referring to the company’s goal to expand its members’ reach to the international community.
