DB Schenker Dubai logistics facility reaches full strength

DB Schenker’s new Dubai Logistics City facility has reached 100 percent utility after just two months of operations, and two years after breaking ground on the project. This is the company’s first fully owned facility in the Middle East, and represents the first of three phases of expansion that will ultimately reach 25,000 square meters by 2019.

DB Schenker has worked closely with the Dubai government to establish this outpost of the fastest-growing logistic service provider in the Middle East and North Africa region, expanding the total area of its operated logistics centers from 70,000 to 170,000 square meters in the last three years.

The facility also benefits from its close proximity – just meters from the runway – to the air operations Al Maktoum International Airport, ensuring efficient freight forwarding across all transportation modes.
