Aviation engineering firm AKKA Technologies announced this week it will strip the seats from two Turkish Airlines’ A330-300s and reconfigure them into passenger-freighters, as several carriers continue to invest in aircraft overhauls. The Brussels-based AKKA estimates the project to take up to four weeks, starting with the arrival of the A330-300s and ending with the return of the aircraft to Turkish Airlines following approval of the reconfiguration by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
