AKKA set to reconfigure two A330-300s for Turkish Airlines
More than 200 aircraft converted to freighters since the pandemic started
Aviation engineering firm AKKA Technologies announced this week it will strip the seats from two Turkish Airlines’ A330-300s and reconfigure them into passenger-freighters, as several carriers continue to invest in aircraft overhauls. The Brussels-based AKKA estimates the project to take up to four weeks, starting with the arrival of the A330-300s and ending with the return of the aircraft to Turkish Airlines following approval of the reconfiguration by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
