Cargo Facts Asia 2021 will explore new lessor involvement in 737NG and A330 freighters, in a live roundtable discussion titled, “Off-Lease And Into Conversion: Redefining Ideal Conversion Feedstock.”

Scheduled to take place 10:00-10:45 AM (GMT+8) on Wednesday, April 21, during this year’s virtual presentation of Cargo Facts Asia, the panel will feature:

  • Cronan Enright, Head of Strategy, CDB Aviation
  • Bill Kmiotek, Director, BlackRock
  • Daniel Watson, Chief Commercial Officer, Aero Capital Solutions
  • David Yu, Chairman, China Aviation Valuation Advisors

All three lessors in this session have made a move to invest in the latest generation of freighter conversions over the past twelve months, with CDB Aviation ordering two A330-300 conversions, and BlackRock and Aero Capital Solutions both placing 737-800SF conversion orders with Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI).

In fact, both Aero Capital Solutions and BlackRock have already topped up their initial orders with additional planned conversions, with BlackRock announcing just this week a deal for three more 737-800SFs with AEI, for a total of eight.

The speakers will discuss freighter demand and opportunities in the Asia-Pacific market; how different the feedstock landscape is in 2021; and how lessors might be reevaluating their portfolios.

Cargo Facts Asia will take place April 20-21 as a virtual experience. To learn more, and register, visit www.cargofactsasia.com.
