Western Global takes off

Florida-based all-cargo startup Western Global Airlines launched scheduled service operations with a four weekly MD-11F flights from Miami to Caracas (CCS) and Santiago (SCL).

Western Global has five MD-11Fs, all leased from Neff Air. Of these, it operates one for sister carrier Nordic Global Airlines and one on the just-launched South American service, while the remaining three are in storage. Western Global, Nordic Global, and Neff Air were all founded by industry veteran Jim Neff.
