Thai Cargo, Menzies Aviation renew contract for Oceania airports

Today, U.K.-based aviation services company Menzies Aviation announced the renewal of its contract with Thai Cargo for handling at several Australian and New Zealand airports. 

Under the five-year agreement, Menzies Aviation will provide cargo handling services for the Thai flag carrier at five stations across Australia and New Zealand, including Sydney (SYD), Melbourne (MEL), Brisbane (BNE), Perth (PER) and Auckland (AKL). 

The team will handle five to six flights per day, totaling up to 40,000 tonnes of cargo per year, according to Menzies Aviation. 

Menzies Aviation currently operates at over 13 locations in Oceania, following its recent acquisition of Gold Coast Air Terminal Services Pty Ltd., and said it plans to begin operations at two new cargo bases opening Cairns and Melbourne. Further details on these plans are forthcoming.
