Zodiac expands container offerings with Herculight S main-deck containers

Zodiac AirCargo Equipment is introducing the Herculight S main-deck container at this month’s Inter Airport Europe Expo in Munich.

The Herculight S modular containers, which expands on the company’s current product range of lower-deck containers and pallets, are designed to be lightweight and durable, with a new door closure mechanism to speed up the container’s turnaround time.

United Airlines’ freight division, United Cargo, was the first airline to adopt the Herculight S lower-deck containers back in 2014, when the airline replaced its entire fleet of LD3s with the significantly lighter units to increase its cargo payload.
