日本政府继续审核检修记录，日本货运航空（NCA）旗下的11架波音747货机已经停飞了近两周时间。作为中美贸易战的一部分，额外关税征收预计于7月6日起正式实施，日本货运航空的停航使得亚洲空运出口的运力突然下降，很多货主急于在新关税起征之前填满库存，直接导致部分跨太平洋贸易航线的运费，已经攀升至年度的最高点。 某家国际著名货代公司上海分公司的区域经理告诉《空运通讯》，只有签约多家航空公司的运力协议才能将系统性风险降到最低。尽管如此，上海浦东国际机场（PVG）在短期内损失三班跨太平洋定期货运航班，仍然对于上海空运市场带来显著的影响，尤其是在目前空运市场需求依然旺盛的情况下。随着运力缩减，运费开始相应上升。根据TAC指数公布，6月25日香港至北美航线的航空运费为4.09美元/公斤，相比于6月18日的航空运费为3.77美元/公斤，这也是2018年迄今为止的最高航空货运价格。 值得一提的是，例如上海浦东国际机场的一些出港航线，即期运费已经大幅上涨0.80至1美元/公斤，并且还有进一步上涨的趋势。 尽管其他航空公司努力增补运力，以抢占日本货运航空停航后所出现的市场真空，航空运费仍在不断上升。近期，阿特拉斯航空首席商务官Michael Steen在公司投资者日告知广大股东，作为前期签署协议的一部分，阿特拉斯航空将为日本货运航空运营两架波音747-400货机。Michael Steen表示，阿特拉斯航空正在运营额外的租赁包机，以协助日本货运航空尽可能的完成预定航班计划。根据日本货运航空的最新声明，可以肯定的消息是，七月初其货运航班还无法恢复运营。
