今年4月底，总部位于阿塞拜疆的丝绸之路货运航空，每周增加两班往返列日与巴库的货运航线，以作为其扩张战略计划的一部分。丝绸之路货运航空总裁兼首席执行官Wolfgang Meier表示：“我们的目标是编制更为密集的欧洲航空货运网络，通航更多的货运航点，并保持更为密集的通航频次，以为我们的客户提供最灵活、最便捷的服务。” 此前不久，丝绸之路货运航空重启了位于布达佩斯机场的货运业务，并在列日机场推出了定期货运航班。该航空公司曾表示，还要增加两架波音747-400货机以进一步扩大现有的机队。目前，其许诺的两架货机中的第一架已于上周就位，另一架将于今年6月加入。届时，丝绸之路货运航空的波音747货机编队将由10架增加到12架，其在欧亚大陆的“丝绸之路”传统航线，运营着超过45个航点的航线网络，并通过货运枢纽巴库机场，进一步将航空货运网络连接到全球的大部分地区。
