Ancra strengthens Airbus partnership with A350F CLS

Airbus has selected California-based Ancra International to provide the cargo-loading system (CLS) for the new A350F. Ancra’s CLS is as lightweight and robust as possible, Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ed Dugic told Cargo Facts . The manufacturing of the system will take place at the Ancra facilities in California, Dugic confirmed. (Photo/Airbus)[/caption] Ancra has a long-standing relationship with Airbus, developing the CLS for models including the planemaker’s first production freighter, the A300-600F, and the A330-200F. More recently, Ancra was appointed as the provider for Elbe Flugzeugwerke’s (EFW) A330P2F and A320/A321P2F programs, Sine Draco’s A321SDF , and C Cubed Aerospace’s A320/A321CCF . Airbus told Cargo Facts in 2021 that the A350 will have a maximum structural capacity of 109 tonnes at 4,700 nautical miles, or 92 tonnes of volumetric capacity at 6,000 nautical miles, with the higher-thrust Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines that also power the -1000, significantly reducing its fuel burn and carbon footprint. The France-based aircraft manufacturer has secured orders for a total of twenty-two A350Fs from the following customers: four from Air France , seven from Singapore Airlines , four from CMA CGM , and seven from Air Lease Corporation (ALC) . Meanwhile, Etihad Airways has signed a letter of intent for seven units .
