April transactions fall below 50

Cargo Facts recorded a total of forty-eight Freighter Aircraft Transactions (FATs) in April, a stark decrease from the 114 FATs recorded in March . April marks the second month in 2022 during which transaction totals fell below 100 as the total clocked in at just over half of the ninety-five FATs recorded in February by Cargo Facts . The reason for the seemingly low volume was in part that transactions in the final week of the month were not accounted for due to an earlier production cutoff date. Of the transactions recorded, slightly less than one-quarter involved 757Fs, with Titan Aircraft Investments acquiring three from AerSale and leasing them to Amerijet. Meanwhile, Airbus medium-widebody transactions continue their upward trajectory, with seven involving A330P2Fs for the month, including a letter of intent for four -300P2Fs by SkyTaxi. Other April highlights include Air France firming up its four A350Fs and WestJet taking delivery of its first 737-800BCF on lease from BBAM. Below is a complete list of FATs recorded in April. Air France firmed up an order for four A350Fs with Airbus [FAT 007453-7456]. Cargojet acquired two 777-200LRs (32222 and 40559, both ex-Delta Air Lines) [FATs 007437-7438]. CDB Aviation inducted for conversion an A330-300 (908, ex-Onur Air). The aircraft will be converted with Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) at the VT Mobile Aerospace Engineering facility in Mobile (BFM) [FAT 007429]. SkyTaxi signed a letter of intent to lease four A330-300P2Fs from Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM) [FATs 007441-7444]. FedEx Express took delivery of a 767-300F (63131) from Boeing [FAT 007428]. YTO Cargo Airlines took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (33424, ex-Air Canada) after conversion with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in Tel Aviv (TLV) [FAT 007457]. Cargojet acquired and inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (26327, ex-Air Canada). The aircraft will be converted with IAI at TLV [FATs 007458-7459]. CAM took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (24307) after conversion with IAI at TLV and placed it on lease to Air Canada [FATs 007463-7464]. Northern Aviation Services acquired a 767-300ER (30565, ex-Ethiopian Airlines) [FAT 007480]. Altavair took redelivery of an A330-200P2F (854, ex-Etihad Airways) after conversion with EFW and placed it on lease to MasAir [FATs 007465-7466]. Airwork took repossession of a 757-200PCF (27051, ex-American Airlines) previously in operation with Aviastar-TU [FAT 007445]. Titan Aircraft Investments acquired three 757-200PCFs (32400, 32386 and 32387, all ex-American Airlines) from AerSale. The three aircraft remain on lease to Amerijet [FATs 007467-7475]. Chisholm Enterprises acquired and inducted for conversion a 737-800 (30672, ex-S7 Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing in Jinan (TNA) [FATs 007430-7431]. GA Telesis took redelivery of a 737-800SF (28616, ex-SunExpress) after conversion with Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) and placed it on lease to Compass Cargo Airlines [FATs 007432-7434]. Aero Capital Solutions took redelivery of a 737-800SF (29986, ex-Korean Air) after conversion with AEI at TNA [FAT 007439]. DHL Express placed a 737-800BDSF (30197, ex-SAS) with Swiftair for CMI operation [FAT 007440]. BBAM took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (34686, ex-TUIfly) after conversion with Boeing and placed it on lease to WestJet [FATs 007446 and 007451]. ASL Airlines acquired and inducted for conversion a 737-800 (35701, ex-Pegasus). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing at TNA [FATs 007460-7461]. AviaAM Leasing inducted for conversion a 737-800 (29790, ex-AnadoluJet). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing at TNA [FAT 007476]. Airwork took delivery of a 737-400SF (25184, ex-ASL Airlines France) on lease from ASL Aviation Holdings [FAT 007477]. Aeronaves TSM acquired a freshly converted 737-400SF (25104, ex-Flair Airlines) from Transair [FATs 007478-7479]. Aeronaves TSM also acquired a 737-300SF (27125, ex-Nauru Airlines) [FAT 007462] .
