CAM places 767-300F with 2nd Georgian operator

CAM has placed a 767-300BDSF on lease to Georgian Airways, the second operator of the type in the country. The 1991-vintage, PW4000-powered unit 25209 (ex-Condor) is also the second 767-300BDSF CAM has leased into Georgia after Georgian Airlines took the 1995-vintage unit 25585 (ex-Air Canada) in August 2023. (Courtesy/Georgian Airways)[/caption] Unit 25209 returned to the United States in May after conversion with IAI in Tel Aviv (TLV). It was deregistered from the U.S. and exported to Georgia on July 26, according to the FAA registry [ FATs 9923-9924 ]. CAM also delivered a passenger 767-300ER to Georgian Airways in June, it said in a statement today. That 2002-vintage aircraft (29390, ex-Omni Air International) has CF6 engines. Georgian Airways joins five other carriers in Georgia operating jet freighters: Camex Airlines with a 737-800BCF and a 737-800SF; Easy Charter with an A300-600F ; Geo Sky with a 747-200F and a 757-200SF; Georgian Airlines with two 767-300BDSFs , one 737-800BCF and two 737-800SFs; and MyWay Airlines with a 737-700BDSF. CAM recently told Cargo Facts that it is seeing good opportunities for its 767 freighters in the Central Asia and Caucasus regions. Notably, including unit 25209 there are now ten 767-300BCFs and -300BDSFs in those two regions combined , concentrated in Georgia and Uzbekistan. In Uzbekistan, young carrier My Freighter leased its fifth 767-300 freighter from CAM earlier this month, while Uzbekistan Airways owns two 767-300BCFs.
