Cargojet buys ex-Boliviana 767-300BDSF

Cargojet has made its first aircraft addition of 2026 with the purchase of a freshly converted 767-300BDSF. Transport Canada issued a certificate of registration for the 1994-vintage freighter (27377) on March 4. It arrived in Phoenix (GYR) on Feb. 24 following conversion and was deregistered from the United States on March 2. (Courtesy/Boliviana de Aviacion)[/caption] Unit 27377 is one of two 767-300 conversions Cargojet expects to receive in the first quarter, according to the carrier’s management discussion of its 2025 results, released Feb. 24. The aircraft’s previous operator, Boliviana de Aviacion (BoA), said in a statement in February that it had sold unit 27377 for about $7 million in 2024 and demanded that the airline’s branding be removed from the airframe because the remnants of BoA’s livery on the aircraft could be misleading. The use of the airline’s livery is unauthorized, BoA said in the statement. BoA’s logo remained on unit 27377’s vertical stabilizer and CF6 engines as the freighter made its way from Tel Aviv (TLV), where it was converted, to GYR, according to photos of the aircraft. It will likely be repainted at GYR ahead of entering service with Cargojet. Unit 27377 brings Cargojet’s 767-300 freighter fleet to twenty-three units. The carrier sold its only two PW4000-powered units (26327 and 27597) to CAM in 2025 but also put into service two 767-300BDSFs (29383 and 29617) and its first production 767-300F (30780). Cargojet had three 767-200BDSFs and sixteen 757-200PCFs as of Dec. 31, 2025, according to its most recent fleet table.
