Freighter transactions dip drastically in February

Freighter aircraft transactions fell sharply in February, with twenty-one FATs recorded by Cargo Facts , down sixty-six from January and eighteen from February 2025. Widebodies accounted for sixteen of the twenty-one FATs in February. The segment was highlighted by Challenge Group taking delivery of its first 777-300ERSF (32795) on lease from AerCap. UPS’ 767 freighter fleet grew to 100 aircraft when it took delivery of a new 767-300F (67984) from Boeing. ASL Airlines Ireland began operating the first CF6-powered A330-300P2F in the world, flying the 2011-vintage aircraft (1272) on an ACMI basis for Saudia Cargo. Among narrowbodies, World Star Aviation returned one of its 737-400 freighters to Brazil , placing the ex-Modern Logistics unit 25374 on lease with Braspress Air Cargo. Meanwhile, FedEx further expanded its regional freighter fleet with the purchase and induction of its first ATR 72-600 (1472, ex-Air Caledonie) for conversion with IPR Conversions. ASL Airlines Ireland took delivery of an A330-300P2F (1278, ex-China Airlines) on lease from CAM [FAT 10930]. ASL Airlines Ireland also began operating an A330-300P2F (1272, ex-China Airlines) on an ACMI basis for Saudia Cargo [FAT 10941]. Hengqin Winglet Aircraft Technology placed an order for an A330-300P2F conversion from EFW [FAT 10937]. UPS took delivery of two 767-300Fs (67984 and 67985) from Boeing [FATs 10932 and 10949]. Jetran took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (27377, ex-Boliviana de Aviacion) after conversion with IAI at TLV [FAT 10948]. Air China Cargo took redelivery of an A330-200P2F (750) after conversion with EFW in Chengdu (CTU) [FATs 10935-10936]. Braspress Air Cargo took delivery of a 737-400F (25374, ex-Modern Logistics) on lease from World Star Aviation [FATs 10945-10947]. FedEx purchased and inducted for conversion an ATR 72-600 (1472, ex-Air Caledonie). The aircraft will be converted with IPR Conversions in Coeur d’Alene (COE) [FATs 10938-10940]. FedEx took delivery of two Cessna 408s (408-0054 and 408-0058) from Textron Aviation [FATs 10933-10934].
