AirWhiteWhale co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Yanxiang Kang will join Cargo Facts Asia 2026 for the panel discussion “Advanced Air Mobility and the future of freighter fleets” on Wednesday, March 25, at 10:35 (UTC +8)
The 14th annual Cargo Facts Asia conference will take place March 23-25 at the W Shanghai, bringing together decision-makers, global executives and leaders to analyze the latest market trends, air cargo developments and their potential impact in Asia.
Kang founded AirWhiteWhale in 2021 after spending more than ten years at GE Aviation in several roles, including aircraft integration leader, engine design team leader, and nacelle and mechanical system design team leader. Previously, he was a project leader at Airbus Beijing Engineering Center for four years.
AirWhiteWhale in 2024 completed manufacturing the W5000, an uncrewed cargo aircraft with a payload capacity of more than 4.5 tonnes and a range of 2,600 kilometers. The W5000 rolled off the production line at the company’s Changzhou facility on Oct. 18, 2024.
The Chinese company plans to deliver its first W5000 in the second half of 2026.
Kang will join Patrick Buckles, regional head of sales at Beta Technologies, and Rashid Al Manai, chief executive at Lodd Autonomous, on the panel to discuss:
- The role of AAM in the Asia-Pacific region, today and in the future;
- Update on drone regulatory developments; and
- Why Asia-Pacific is right for AAM deployment.
