777F Number Three for TNT

November is a gray, dreary month in the Pacific Northwest, but sometimes there are days where the clouds lift and leave you with bright, but cold, conditions. On Saturday Cargo Facts was on hand for the third flight of TNT’s latest 777F, OO-TSC (msn: 37138) – just a 30 minute loop out over the northern Olympic peninsula and back to Paine Field.

TNT took delivery of its first 777F (OO-TSA, msn: 38969) on July 22nd. A second TNT 777F is temporarily sub-leased to Southern Air (N778SA, msn: 39286, delivered on Sept. 29th in TNT livery). Cargo Facts reported on October 7th that Southern Air will operate the freighter on an ACMI basis while TNT trains more 777F crews. Southern Air has operated two 777Fs since the spring of 2010 and has two more on order via Oak Hill Capital Partners.

Given the Belgian registration, it seems likely that TNT will operate this third freighter itself.

All three of TNT’s 777Fs are leased from Guggenheim Aviation Partners.

As of the end of October, 49 777Fs had been delivered. Since then, two more have been delivered to FedEx.
