A330 P2F conversion begins

EFW is reported to have selected an ex-Malaysia Airlines A330-300 (116) as the prototype aircraft in its A330 passenger-to-freighter conversion program.

EFW, the MRO and conversion arm of the Airbus Group (now 35% owned by ST Aerospace), announced early this year that Egyptair Cargo would be the launch customer for the program, with an order for two A330-200 P-to-F conversions, but at the same time confirmed that the -300 variant would be the first to be converted, with the -200 following a year later. No orders for -300 conversions have so far been announced.
