A long-time Cargo Facts reader recently sent us a link to a website with some terrific photos of the Antonov An-225, the world’s largest commercial cargo aircraft. Here are a couple of samples, but we encourage you to visit Gelio the website of photographer Slava Stephanov, for a look at dozens of great shots of the An-225. (And if you hit the little arrow keys at the top of the page, you’ll see his photos of a variety of other subjects, too.)

Only one An-225 was built, originally to transport Soviet-era spacecraft, and it is now used in commercial charter service worldwide. It holds the aircraft payload world record of 156.3 tonnes.
