Chapman Freeborn is pleased to announce that its Scandinavia team has moved to a new office facility in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The company is targetting future growth following a successful 2012 and has moved to a new location in the Ørestad district in close proximity to Copenhagen Airport (CPH), located in the south of the city.
Chapman Freeborn expanded into the Scandinavian market two years ago under the management of Copenhagen-based Kim Borgaard, who in his role as regional sales manager has overseen the strategic development of the company’s operations in Scandinavia and its neighbouring countries.
The team was further strengthened last August by the arrival of Christian Stridsberg, who was appointed as the dedicated sales manager for Sweden & Finland.
The Scandinavia team is backed-up by Chapman Freeborn’s full global office network of 35 offices in 25 countries worldwide – all providing specialist cargo and passenger aircraft charters, as well as on board courier (OBC) services.
Commenting on the office move and future expansion plans, Kim Borgaard said:
“The growing demand for specialist aircraft charter services prompted us to find a new office location in Copenhagen and expand our capacity.
“The last 12 months have been very positive for us and we have managed to successfully establish a firm presence in the region – undertaking a number of exciting charter projects in the process. With the help of our global colleagues we look forward to further strengthening our position in the Scandinavian market in 2013.”
Local Market Knowledge & Relationship
The office move puts Chapman Freeborn’s Scandinavia team in greater proximity to many of its customers – including a large number of businesses based near Copenhagen Airport.
As an important international hub for passenger and cargo flights, the airport serves Denmark and a large part of southern Sweden. It handles around 60 scheduled airlines and serves over 20 million passengers a year, making it the busiest airport in the Nordic region.
Worldwide Chapman Freeborn currently coordinates over 6,000 charters a year – ranging from small ad hoc flights for urgent automotive and manufacturing cargo, to movements of heavy and outsize equipment for energy and mining projects as well as providing specialist On Board Courier (OBC) services.
Chapman Freeborn has been voted Air Cargo Charter Broker of the Year at the World Air Cargo Awards for the last six consecutive years. Industry publication Air Cargo News also recently named Chapman Freeborn as its Cargo Charter Broker of the Year 2012.
In addition to cargo operations, Chapman Freeborn offers specialist passenger services including private jet and helicopter charters for executive travel and large aircraft for crew rotations and international group travel.
