Emirates SkyCargo A6-EFD

Emirates SkyCargo is currently operating two 777 freighters, but has orders for six more. Adding the 777F to the fleet was a natural choice for the Dubai giant – it is the world’s largest 777 operator, with more than eighty of the various types of 777 in service. In fact, Emirates is the only airline to have operated all of the 777 variants.

In December, 2010, Emirates SkyCargo used the 777F on a 17.5-hour flight from Sydney to New York (SWF- Stewart International, surprisingly) – carrying thoroughbred horses. At the time, Emirates SkyCargo SVP Ram Menen declared: “Since the Boeing 777F’s introduction to our fleet in March 2009, we have been impressed by its range, as well as efficiency, and this milestone flight is testament to that.”

Emirates SkyCargo also operates several 747-400s, some of which are leased from Atlas Air.
