On 27 February, Bombardier conducted the first flight of its CS300, the largest member of the companies new CSeries aircraft, capable of seating up to 149 passengers. The CSeries is not going to be a player in the cargo game, but it’s always interesting to see the debut of a new type, and since the test flight was conducted on a beautiful day, we thought you might enjoy a few photos. More information is available on the Bombardier website,
First flight of the smaller CS100 took place last year, and Bombardier says it expects certification for the CS100 in the second half of 2015, with certification of the CS300 to follow “about six months later.”
Bombardier has so far booked 243 firm orders for CSeries aircraft, plus a further 320 commitments.
