Starliner 75 – and friend.
There really is a cargo aircraft in this photo, we promise, and it’s not one of Alaska Airlines Cargo’s 737s.
Alaska painted N569AS (id 35184/2192), a 737-890, in this special scheme back in 2007 for the company’s 75th anniversary – it’s one of several special livery jets in Alaska’s all-737 fleet. The livery mimics that of early Alaska DC-3s and Curtiss C46s.
On this day, we see not only “Starliner 75” but also a UPS 767-300 in miniature. Starliner 75 is just seconds away from tarmac coming in at Seatac while the UPS 763 is heading for Boeing field, so close are these two airports.
