Doug Brittin, General Manager of Air Cargo Programs at the US Transportation Security Administration, will present an update on the crucially important issue of air cargo security at the ACMG Workshop in Atlanta next month.
Mr. Britten has been at the center of the security hurricane since 2007, trying to balance the conflicting interests and demands of citizens, politicians, shippers, forwarders, and carriers the world over. He will share his insight into the security situation in the final session of the workshop, at 4:00 pm on Tuesday May 3.
In addition to Doug Britten, the Workshop will also feature a Presentation by World Bank Lead Economist John S. Wilson entitled “Macro Markers: The Rebounding Global Economy & Trade,” an analysis of the challenges and opportunities unique to the ACMI sector by Southern Air CEO Dan McHugh, and a dialog between Airbus and Boeing on “The Future of Freighter Aircraft.” Representing the Airbus view will be Head of Marketing for Freighters Didier Lenormand, while Boeing’s position will be presented by Regional Director Russell Tom.
