Avolon’s Morrison to discuss A330 conversions at CF EMEA

Jim Morrison, head of portfolio management at Avolon, has joined the Cargo Facts EMEA 2022 speaker faculty for a live conversation on the lessor perspective at 10 a.m. (GMT +4) on Wednesday, May 11. 

Cargo Facts EMEA will take place live May 9-11 in Dubai for the first time. The event will bring together industry experts, offering access to emerging airfreight technology and providing solutions to challenges affecting today’s air cargo market.

In his role, Morrison is responsible for identifying and projecting key industry trends and monitoring aircraft values to perform market analysis. He works with aircraft appraisers to evaluate asset risk and pitch investment cases. 

Morrison is an ISTAT certified appraiser and has worked with Avolon since 2017, and has more than fifteen years of aviation industry experience with leasing, manufacturing, research and technology organizations. He previously held airline marketing, aircraft evaluation, market analysis and product strategy roles with CIT Aerospace and Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. 

In October 2021, Avolon announced it had partnered with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) to launch the A330-300BDSF conversion program, the first Airbus conversion program for IAI. Based on Avolon’s projections for demand for the medium widebody freighter, the leasing company has committed to an initial thirty conversions with IAI.
