Bolloré Logistics opens warehouse in Miami-area FTZ

Yesterday, French 3PL Bolloré Logistics opened a new 70,000-square-meter facility in the Miami-Dade County foreign trade zone (FTZ). The new operation will consolidate its existing freight forwarding and contract logistics services into one site.

The new location will address demand for cargo-warehousing services from its clients in cosmetics, aerospace and general retail moving through Miami International Airport (MIA) and the Port of Miami.

Earlier this year, MIA was granted designation as an FTZ magnet site, which significantly reduced, and in some cases, entirely lifted federal tariffs for industry members transporting freight through the hub, making Miami an increasingly appealing setting for logistics companies to position business operations.

“Miami is geographically pivotal to regional trade,” said Tony Rodrigues, CEO of the company’s Americas division. “With this investment, Bolloré Logistics aims to play a key role in supporting the supply chain transformation of this industry.”
