Qatar to order four more 777Fs

Doha-based Qatar Airways signed a Letter of Intent with Boeing for four 777Fs. The LOI was part of a firm order for fifty 777-9X passenger aircraft, signed at this summer’s Farnborough Air Show.

Qatar currently operates six 777Fs and three A330-200Fs, and has two more 777Fs and five A330-200Fs on firm order. If the carrier firms the order, it will soon have one of the largest non-express freighter fleets in the world – the twenty units in the fleet and on order will put it on par with carriers such as Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, and Lufthansa.
