EFW completes first Turkmenistan Airlines A330P2F

Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) has completed and redelivered the first of two A330P2F conversions that will eventually begin operation with Turkmenistan Airlines. The 2007-vintage aircraft is an A330-200P2F (810, ex-Air China) with Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines and marks the first redelivery of an A330P2F conversion to Airbus itself, EFW confirmed to Cargo Facts [ FATs 008459-8462 ]. (Photo/EFW)[/caption] Unit 810 left Dresden (DRS) today and was ferried to Shannon (SNN). It arrived at DRS in March 2022 for conversion. Turkmenistan Airlines and Airbus announced the deal to acquire the two freighters in January 2021 and had previously expected the redeliveries in 2022. The second A330-200P2F will be unit 815 (ex-Air China), a sister aircraft of the same vintage that arrived at DRS in April 2022. EFW recently redelivered another A330-200P2F, the 2006-vintage unit 717 (ex-Etihad), to lessor Altavair after conversion in Singapore (SIN). That aircraft arrived in Brussels (BRU) on Jan. 28 and will be operated by Air Belgium . Turkmenistan Airlines is set to be just the fourth A330-200P2F operator. Excluding unit 810, EFW has only redelivered seven other conversions of the shorter version: three to launch customer EgyptAir and four to Altavair. While all of those aircraft are powered by Trent 700s, the first A330-200 with General Electric CF6 engines to undergo conversion arrived at DRS in November .
