IBS Software wins contract to manage Etihad online cargo ops

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways awarded a multi-year contract to IBS Software for the management of its cargo sales and operations through IBS Software’s iCargo product.

Under the contract, iCargo will automate Etihad Cargo’s network-wide booking, pricing and capacity management operations and perform real-time revenue management, and shipment status and quality management monitoring.

“We are also working with IBS to develop the functionality to support our customers with our product provision, loyalty program and incentives program,” said Etihad Cargo senior vice president David Kerr. Etihad’s decision to work with iCargo is meant to replace Etihad’s existing system and keep booking opportunities on the carrier open 24 hours per day.
