India-based IndiGo recently began dedicated freighter operations, taking delivery of its first A321-200P2F in September 2022. The aircraft, the 2007-vintage unit 3267 (ex-Avion Express), was converted at the ST Engineering facility in Singapore (XSP) and began commercial operations that November.
IndiGo’s first freighter is on lease from Castlelake and was joined by another of the type (3334) in December 2022. The carrier has been part of a flurry of new dedicated freighter activity in India.
Before joining IndiGo as CCO of international cargo, Sutch served in various management positions for Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways. In his seventeen years there, he was responsible for managing the South Asia, Middle East and Africa regions after serving as general manager for cargo sales and marketing.
