LATAM Cargo revenue rises 6.3% in Q3

LATAM Airlines Group reported $404.5 million in cargo revenue for the third quarter, an increase of 6.3% year over year. The carrier group reported $3.9 billion in total operating revenue, up 17.3% YoY, and $411.1 million in adjusted net income, up 21% YoY, according to its Q3 earnings report, released Nov. 14. [caption id="attachment_57292189" align="aligncenter" width="1920"] (Courtesy/LATAM Cargo)[/caption] The group also reported in Q3: Adjusted operating income of $697.8 million, up 51.6% YoY; Adjusted EBITDAR of $1.1 billion, up 38.9% YoY; 2.1 billion available cargo tonne kilometers (CTK), up 4.4% YoY; 1.1 billion revenue CTKs, up 2.7% YoY; Load factor of 52.3%, down 0.8 percentage points YoY; Yield based on revenue CTKs of 37 cents, up 3.5% YoY; and Revenue per available CTK of 19 cents, up 1.8% YoY. Fleet LATAM Cargo operates twenty 767-300Fs, having sold a 1999-vintage 767-300F with CF6 engines (29881) to CAM in March and a 2000-vintage 767-300F with CF6 engines (30780) to aircraft trader Jetran in October 2024. ATSG leasing subsidiary CAM leased unit 29881 to Raya Airways in Malaysia in October, making Raya the first Southeast Asian operator of the type. Unit 30780 was taken on by Cargojet in December, making it Cargojet’s first production freighter. LATAM plans to sell one more 767-300F in 2026, according to the earnings report. In August, LATAM Cargo added its final planned 767-300BCF conversion , a 2012-vintage unit (40799), completing its conversion order with Boeing. That aircraft has not yet entered service and is still undergoing tests with Boeing in Victorville, Calif. (VCV). Network expansion LATAM Cargo has expanded its network significantly in the second half of 2025, most recently launching a route on Oct. 25 from Viracopos, Brazil (VCP), to Brussels (BRU) , with a stop in Recife, Brazil (REC), with a 2010-vintage 767-300BCF (37802). The route operates three times a week, but the carrier plans to increase frequency to five flights per week in mid-December. LATAM Cargo also launched a weekly cargo route connecting BRU and Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil (SJK) , in October. It doubled capacity on its BRU-Buenos Aires (EZE) route in September by increasing from two weekly flights to four with a 767-300F. Boosting flower exports, LATAM Cargo launched a route from Bogota (BOG) to Los Angeles (LAX) on July 14 with unit 25756. Shares of LATAM Airlines Group ( NYSE: LTM ) were down 0.02% from market open to $44.46 as of market close today. LATAM has a market capitalization of $13.1 billion. LATAM was relisted on the New York Stock Exchange on July 25, 2024, ending a four-year absence from the exchange after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2020.
