Today, we wrap up the week discussing the multiple medium-widebody developments that occurred involving both Boeing and Airbus aircraft, the continued demand for 737 Classics, and continuing interest in A321 freighters. In this episode of “Cargo Facts Connect,” Cargo Facts Editor Jeff Lee and Associate Editors Andrew Crider and Robert Luke discuss another 737 Classic freighter on the move, Avianca adding A330-300P2Fs to its fleet and testing A321F operations, and LATAM making headlines with its medium-widebody additions. Andrew Crider I want to begin today with Latin America. There was a lot of activity from the region this week, cargo facts is currently tracking a 1991 Vintage 737 unit 25124. 25124 is currently in service with ASL airlines. But rumor on the street says that that aircraft will be removed from storage shortly and transferred to a carrier and the Latin American or South American region. We're watching that story closely and we'll be posting updates as we have them. Robert Luke Wow, that sounds exciting, Andrew, but that's not all. Avianca expects to take two to four a 330 300 P two s the first conversion medium wide body freighters in its fleet over the next two years as the carrier focuses on increasing its presence in the Americas. Avianca will also expect to add a 321 freighter operations through a charter deal with global crossing airlines with the options for four more charter and our ACMI operational leases over the next five years. Global X is partner with Greenwich Highland aviation and Petrus aerovista a 321 Holdings and now has 13 a 321 P2F's under firm lease agreements. Andrew Crider We also found out that latam cargo will acquire a used 767 freighter. We're expecting that aircraft to be delivered sometime in September. That addition comes shortly after the last weekend they received another 767 300 BCF conversion. That's the third of four that it expects this year. The carrier expects six more 767 300 BCF to follow in 2023 Really exciting developments for that carrier who's been doing nothing but growth the last couple of years. Robert Luke Indeed, the medium wide body market is seriously heating up but let's not forget about the Mexican carrier Masair as Airbus is right behind Boeing. And Masair is quickly growing its medium wide body fleet and became the first operator of a type in the Americas with the Airbus A 330 200 P2F. Andrew Crider And moving on from Latin and South America. We also saw notable activity in China didn't we Jeff? Jeff Lee we did and actually it turned out to be very much a medium wide body week because in China, we saw 3 767 300 movements in the past week, two of which involved SF airlines. They brought another ex air canada aircraft across the Pacific soon will make its way into the conversion facility. And this was just as they took redelivery of another 767 300 BCF after converting in Singapore. And SF is already the largest 767 operator in China, but they just keep on growing that segment, in addition to their narrowbodies. But yto cargo airlines which is the other 767 freighter operator in China recently just started flying its second 767 300 BDSF after completed conversion with iai earlier this year. And interestingly, so SF is converting seven six sevens with Boeing. yto the two with iai and we were expecting another a third 767 operator that could have taken production 767 3 Hundreds from Boeing that airline China central longhao airlines appears to no longer be taking the seven six sevens because as we reported this week, two of those are now on the way to Air Canada. And there might be something interesting with regard to the other three are these two of the other three remaining in that original deal. But, but we'll see what happens next week.
