No summer slowdown detected in August freighter aircraft transactions

Cargo Facts logged forty-three freighter aircraft transactions (FATs) during the month of August, nearly mirroring the volume of transactions recorded in July – so much for a summer slowdown.

Transactions recorded during the period represent a balanced mix of carrier and fleet types.

There were, however, some notable highlights among non-express all-cargo carriers, including:

Russia-based Volga-Dnepr Group took delivery of its first 777F (66625) from Boeing [FAT 005539]. The aircraft was ferried from Everett (PAE) to Sharjah (SHJ).

Nippon Cargo Airlines will hand over two 747-400Fs (36783 and 36785, ex-AirBridgeCargo) to ASL Airlines Belgium for CMI operation [FATs 005575-005576]. The aircraft were returned off lease and parked in May.

National Airlines reactivated a second 747-400BCF (27217, ex-Cathay Pacific) [FAT 005569]. The aircraft was ferried to San Antonio (SAT) for maintenance.
