Indonesia-based Rimbun took delivery of its first 737-800SF in September 2022, becoming the country’s second carrier to operate the 737NG freighter. The company previously said it had plans to add more 737 freighters to enter its fleet in 2023.
Rimbun has also expanded its 737 Classic operations, adding a second 737-300F to its fleet in early 2022. The market in Indonesia will also see growth from startups such as Raindo United Services, which will be joining the ranks of Rimbun and My Indo airlines as 737-800F operators.
Winata has served as Rimbun Air’s executive director since 2018. He graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Science in International Political Economy.
