Air-Cargo-World_0_0Royal Media, Cargo Facts‘ publisher and a leading specialized information company, has acquired Air Cargo World from AXIO Data Group, Royal announced today.

Air Cargo World began publication in 1942 and today is the leading air cargo industry publication, read by more than 24,000 senior executives on the commercial side of the air cargo industry — at freight forwarders, shippers and cargo airlines across the globe. The Air Cargo World service includes www.aircargoworld.com and the ACE Awards, the industry’s leading performance awards, which are presented annually.

Air Cargo World will be incorporated into Royal Media’s Air Cargo Management Group (ACMG) unit based in Seattle, Washington, of which Cargo Facts is a part.

“All of us at Royal and ACMG are thrilled to welcome Air Cargo World and its team,” said JJ Hornblass, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Media. “This is a big win for air cargo industry marketers, who now can, through Air Cargo World and Cargo Facts, reach the audiences they need on both the commercial and fleet sides of the air cargo industry.”

Air Cargo World and Cargo Facts will operate in concert to provide comprehensive news coverage and analysis to the global air cargo industry. Royal plans to build on the Air Cargo World service to provide even better coverage and information services for the market.

“The Air Cargo World publication is well-respected by air cargo executives,” said Henry Elkington, Chief Executive of AXIO Data Group. “We believe that Royal Media will be a good long-term home for this title.”
