Stratos Freight to become 3rd 757-200F carrier in Uzbekistan

Stratos Freight expects to become Uzbekistan’s third 757-200F operator and will soon launch narrowbody freighter service after taking delivery of its first aircraft on lease from AerSale. The 2001-vintage 757-200PCF (32394, ex-American Airlines) departed Phoenix (PHX) on March 15 and arrived in Tashkent (TAS) on March 16. (Courtesy/AerSale)[/caption] Stratos will start operating the aircraft within eight weeks after the Uzbekistan Civil Aviation Authority inspects it, AerSale told Cargo Facts . Stratos does not yet appear on the agency’s list of certified air operators. AerSale, which still has four 757-200PCFs (26972, 29311, 32391 and 32393) available for lease or sale, hopes to deliver more to Stratos, but there are no firm plans for now, the company said. Unit 32394 is the third 757 freighter that AerSale has placed in Uzbekistan. It also leased a pair of 757-200PCFs (32388 and 28833) to SkyGuard, another startup. The lessor delivered the ex-American Airlines unit 32388 to SkyGuard in October 2025 and sent the 1997-vintage unit 28833 (ex-Air Astana) to TAS in December 2024. SkyGuard obtained its AOC in January 2025 and began operating unit 28833 in May 2025. Uzbekistan has become an active location for dedicated freighter expansion in the past two years. In addition to Stratos, the country is home to sixteen Boeing freighters operated by five carriers: My Freighter with four 767-300BCFs, four 767-300BDSFs and one 757-200PCF; Uzbekistan Airways with two 767-300BCFs; Fly Khiva with one 767-300BCF; SpaceBee Airlines with two 767-200BDSFs; and SkyGuard with two 757-200PCFs. Another 757-200F (25622, ex-GeoSky) has been at TAS since September 2025, but its operator is unknown.
