Cargo Facts is excited to announce two new speakers to be featured at Cargo Facts Asia 2016 in Hong Kong next month.

The explosive growth of e-commerce is fueling the biggest revolution in the air freight and express industry in decades, and nowhere is the impact of this revolution bigger than in China, where the domestic express industry is in upheaval as it cannot add capacity fast enough to keep up with demand for overnight delivery. And as rapidly as online shopping took hold in China, some industry observers feel that India is on the verge of even faster growth.

This e-commerce-fueled growth of the express industry will be front and center at Cargo Facts Asia 2016 in Hong Kong next month, and we are proud to announce two speakers you won’t want to miss!

Tulsi N Mirchandaney, Managing Director, Blue Dart Aviation

Tulsi Mirchandaney, Managing Director of Blue Dart Aviation: Tulsi Nowlakha Mirchandaney is the Managing Director of Blue Dart Aviation — for the last twenty years India’s only successful cargo airline. She has been actively associated with the airline and express industry in India for over thirty five years, and has been instrumental in bringing about policy changes to support the cargo airline industry in the country. We are pleased and proud to announce that she will join us at Cargo Facts Asia, kicking off the event in a “Fireside Chat” with Cargo Facts publisher and CEO, JJ Hornblass.

Ms. Mirchandaney’s knowledge of the express industry is unmatched in Southeast Asia, and we can’t think of a better speaker to set the stage for what will be a terrific event.

YTO Express Airlines Chairman David Su

David Su Xiu Feng, Chairman of YTO Express Airlines: YTO Express is China’s largest express company. Until recently, its focus was primarily on ground delivery, but in the last year it has taken to the air in a big way, with the launch of its own air arm, YTO Express Airlines.

Of all the express companies in China, YTO is perhaps most closely connected to the e-commerce revolution, as Alibaba — the undisputed engine of that revolution — last year took a stake in the company. YTO Express is one of 14 logistics partners that work closely with Cainiao, the logistics affiliate of Alibaba Group, and its air arm recently became a launch customer for Boeing’s 737-800BCF program with an order for ten converted freighters.

We are excited to welcome David Su as a participant in what is surely the most anticipated session of this year’s event: “The E-Commerce Explosion and Air Freight.”

Cargo Facts Asia 2016 will be held in Hong Kong 19 – 20 April, at the Langham Hotel. To register, or for more information, go to www.cargofactsasia.com.
