Every week in Cargo Facts Update, we include a list of recent freighter aircraft transactions, and then a comprehensive summary in the monthly issue of Cargo Facts. Each reference to a freighter aircraft transaction (FAT) in our publications contains a unique FAT code linked to the FAT database on the CargoFacts.com website. This database is available to subscribers as an interactive tool on our website, and you can go to it from the “FAT Data” tab at the top of the home page, or directly at https://cargofacts.com/fat/
Below, we include the transactions from recent issues of Cargo Facts Update, and we encourage you to make use of the FAT database here on our website.
A 747-400BCF (24227) was recently removed from the CAL Cargo fleet and is awaiting a Belgian registration before it is transferred to the fleet of CAL’s Belgian affiliate carrier, ACE Belgium Freighters [FAT 004775].
Lufthansa Cargo will lease an additional 777F from Boeing, to be operated by AeroLogic, a 50/50 joint venture between DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo, later this fall ahead of the 2019 peak season [FAT 004770].
DHL Express took redelivery of a 757-200PCF (29428, ex-American Airlines) following its conversion to freighter configuration at the Flightstar Facility in Jacksonville [FAT 004771].
Guam-based Asia Pacific Airlines acquired a 757-200 (25140, ex-OpenSkies) and ferried it to Jacksonville for conversion to freighter configuration by Precision Aircraft Solutions [FAT 004772-4773].
ASL Airlines Belgium returned a 757-200 combi aircraft (25622, ex-TNT Airways) off lease [FAT 004776]. The aircraft was put into storage at Singapore Seletar (XSP) and re-registered in the US, but it is not clear whether the aircraft is undergoing maintenance or potentially being converted to full-freighter configuration. ST Aerospace Engineering originally converted the aircraft to combi configuration in November 2011.
Atran added a 737-800BCF (32616, ex-Nok Air) on lease from GECAS [FAT 004768].
West Atlantic Airlines took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (32615, ex-China Southern Airlines) on lease from GECAS, following conversion to freighter configuration at Boeing Shanghai [FAT 004774]. This is the fourth, and final 737-800BCF West Atlantic had on order with GECAS as part of an agreement announced in June 2017, and the first in FedEx colors.
CargoLogic Germany took delivery of its first 737-400SFs (28867), which arrived at Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ) [FAT 004769]. The yet-to-launch scheduled subsidiary carrier of UK-based CargoLogicAir Holding (an affiliate of the Volga-Dnepr Group) appears to be nearing receipt of a German AOC, and fleet tracking databases indicate the startup carrier has reserved three German registrations for its incoming fleet of 737-400SFs].
