Jens Steinhagen, senior vice president of program management at Mammoth Freighters, will join Cargo Facts Symposium 2025 for the panel discussion “Type talk 777 — Ramping up 777 conversions in the widebody segment” on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 14:00 (GMT -5).

The 32nd annual Cargo Facts Symposium will take place Oct. 21-23 at the Grand Hyatt in Nashville, Tenn., where industry leaders and decision makers will gather to assess the latest trends and developments in the freighter sector, while sharing their insights to project the market’s growth trajectory.

Steinhagen will sit down with Jim Gibbs, chief operating officer of Kansas Modification Center, and Yaacov Berkovitz, executive vice president and general manager of aviation at IAI Aviation Group, to share insights on:

  • The latest progress updates on the development of the conversion programs;
  • Mitigating feedstock and engine limitations; and
  • Production versus conversion in the 777 space.

Steinhagen became senior vice president of program management at Mammoth in January 2023. He previously served in various leadership roles with Boeing for more than twenty-two years, including director and senior business development manager.

In August, Mammoth redelivered its first 777-200LRMF converted at the STS Aviation Services facility in Manchester, England (MAN), to Horseshoe Bay, Texas-based aircraft trader Jetran.

The conversion company is completing flight tests to certify the 777-200LRMF to perform automated landings at the designed maximum landing weight of 572,000 pounds.

Mammoth received FAA approval for its 777-200LRMF on April 7 and is working on completing and certifying its 777-300ERMF conversion with the agency.

Cargo Facts Symposium 2026, the premier event for the freighter aircraft and air cargo industries, will take place in Nashville, Tenn., on Oct. 21-23. Find out more and register today.
