US-based Precision Aircraft Solutions received FAA approval for a Maximum Zero Fuel Weight (MZFW) increase for both winglet- and non-winglet-equipped 757-200PCF conversions.
The authorization allows Precision to increase MZFW as high as 90,718 kg. (200,000 lb), which is 5,443 kg (12,000 lb) over the OEM highest certificated MZFW for freighter-converted Rolls Royce- and Pratt & Whitney-powered 757s.
In practical terms, the upgrade boosts the structural payload up to 38,101 kg (84,000 lb) for Precision’s Rolls-powered 757-200 conversion, and 37,194 kg (82,000 lb) for the PW-powered conversion (for 757-200s with line numbers above 210).
