As of today, there are approximately 31,000 active and stored regional, narrowbody and widebody commercial aircraft. The top 120 lessors worldwide have a combined fleet of about 13,000 aircraft, which amounts to about 42% of the world’s commercial airplane fleet. The top ten lessors account for over 40% of the non-operator owned or financed fleet.
