SmartLynx Airlines Vice President of Sales and Development Edvinas Demenius has joined the Cargo Facts EMEA 2022 speaker faculty for the panel “Fleet modernization and expansion in EMEA Express” on Tuesday, May 10, at 3:30 p.m. (GMT +4).
Cargo Facts EMEA will take place live May 9-11 in Dubai for the first time. The event will bring together industry experts, offering access to emerging airfreight technology and providing solutions to challenges affecting today’s air cargo market.

Earlier this year, SmartLynx made its advance into the widebody market by signing a lease for six A330-300P2Fs from Cargo Aircraft Management. Those aircraft will be inducted with Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) in 2023. The Latvia-based airline is also growing its A321 freighter fleet, adding two from Cross Ocean Partners and four from GTLK Europe. More recently, SmartLynx signed six A321P2F conversion slots of its own with EFW.
SmartLynx only began freighter operations in 2021 with an A321P2F and an A321PCF, which it leased from Vallair.
Demenius builds and manages complex projects at SmartLynx, planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets. Demenius has managed the launch of the A321 freighter project and the expansion of the company’s services to air cargo.
Demenius studied project management at the IATA Training and Development Institute in Geneva and has also served as air service manager at Vilnius International Airport.
