March transactions rebound past 100

The Freighter Aircraft Transactions (FATs) thermometer for March peaked at 114, a significant increase from the ninety-five FATs that Cargo Facts recorded in February. Twin widebody freighters turned up the heat, driving transaction totals back over 100, while 737-800 freighters moved at a fever pitch. ASL Aviation Holdings sparked some narrowbody movement with its order for ten 737-800BCF conversions with Boeing, plus an option for ten more. Boeing’s twin-engine widebody freighters made an impact with forty-three FATs. Ethiopian Airlines led the way with a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for five 777-8Fs , while DHL Express ordered six more 777Fs . March ended on a good note, with FATs ranging from a 747-8F all the way down to a Saab 340BF. Below is a complete list of FATs recorded in March. BOC Aviation took repossession of a 747-8F (60118) previously on lease to AirBridgeCargo [FAT 007394]. Ethiopian Airlines signed an MoU for five 777-8Fs with Boeing [FATs 007311-7315]. EVA Air placed an order for three 777-300ERSF conversions with IAI [FATs 007366-7368]. Cargojet placed purchase and conversion orders for two 777-200LRs and four -300ERs [FATs 007316-7321]. DHL Express exercised options for four 777Fs with Boeing and added an order for two more 777Fs [FATs 007332-7337]. China Airlines took delivery of a 777F (66901) from Boeing [FAT 007406]. FedEx Express retired an MD-10-30F (46871) and ferried it to Victorville (VCV) for storage [FAT 007405]. SmartLynx placed a lease order for six A330-300P2Fs from Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM) FATs 007338-7343]. CDB Aviation inducted for conversion an A330-300 (937, ex-SmartLynx). The aircraft will be converted with Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) in Shanghai (PVG) [FAT 007346]. DHL Express acquired an A330-300 (1453, ex-HiFly) [FAT 007370]. Northern Air Cargo inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (30563, ex-Ethiopian Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing in Singapore (SIN) [FAT 007298]. DHL inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (41746, ex-LATAM). The aircraft will be converted at the Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company Ltd. (GAMECO) facility in Guangzhou (CAN) [FAT 007299]. DHL also took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (29603) for its U.K. airline on lease from CAM [FAT 007395]. Air Canada inducted for conversion one of its own 767-300ERs (30852). The aircraft will be converted with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in Tel Aviv (TLV) [FATs 007344-7345]. CAM inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (25241, ex-Delta Air Lines). The aircraft will be converted with IAI at TLV [FAT 007351]. Amazon inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (30574, ex-Delta Air Lines). The aircraft will be converted with IAI in Mexico City (MEX) [FAT 007353]. Amazon also placed a 767-300BDSF (30595, ex-Delta Air Lines) with Air Transport International for CMI operation [FAT 007378]. CAM placed an order for four 767-300BCF conversions with Boeing, with an option for four more [FATs 007354-7361]. CAM also acquired a 767-300ER (26388, ex-Air Canada) [FAT 007369]. LATAM took redelivery of a 767-300BCF (35696) after conversion with Boeing at SIN [FAT 007380]. LATAM also inducted for conversion another of its 767-300ERs (40593). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing in Singapore (QPG) [FAT 007382]. SF Airlines acquired a 767-300ER (33422, ex-Air Canada) [FAT 007427]. SF Airlines also took redelivery of a 767-300BCF (29618, ex-Pegas Fly) after conversion with Boeing at QPG [FAT 007393]. FedEx took delivery of a 767-300F (66867) from Boeing [FAT 007396]. Astral Aviation took delivery of a 757-200PCF (23687, ex-Air Transport International) on lease from Aquila Air Capital [FAT 007309]. BlackRock inducted for conversion a 757-200 (29489, ex-Air Astana). The aircraft will be converted with Precision Aircraft Solutions in Goodyear (GYR) [FAT 007350]. Samaritan’s Purse acquired a 757-200PCF (22611, ex-Pacific Air Express) [FAT 007383]. AerSale inducted for conversion a 757-200 (32382, ex-American Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with Precision Aircraft Solutions at GYR [FAT 007399]. AerSale also took redelivery of a 757-200PCF ( 32387 , ex-American Airlines) after conversion with Precision Aircraft Solutions at GYR and placed it on lease to Amerijet [FATs 007403-7404]. YTO Cargo Airlines acquired a 757-200 (32399, ex-American Airlines) from AerSale [FAT 007401]. Amerijet took delivery of a 757-200PCF (26244, ex-Icelandair) on lease from Icelease [FAT 007402]. CAM inducted for conversion an A321-200 (1972, ex-Thomas Cook Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with 321 Precision Conversions at the PEMCO facility in Tampa (TPA) and will join Raya Airways on lease [FATs 007326-7327]. Global Crossing Airlines will lease two A321-200PCFs (1451 and 1503, ex-AtlasGlobal) from Petrus Aerovista A321 Holdings [FATs 007330-7331]. Castlelake inducted for conversion an A321-200 (3334, ex-Avion Express). The aircraft will be conducted with EFW in Singapore (XSP) [FAT 007371]. ST Engineering inducted for conversion an A320-200 (2724, ex-Orange2fly). The aircraft will be converted with EFW at XSP [FAT 007349]. BlackRock took redelivery of a 737-800SF (30671, ex-AeroMexico) after conversion with Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) and placed it on lease to West Atlantic [FATs 007303-7304]. Express Air Cargo will purchase a 737-800SF (30704, ex-Regent Airways) from BlackRock [FATs 007305-7306]. 71 Aero Capital Solutions took redelivery of a 737-800SF (29984, ex-Jin Air) after conversion with AEI in Xiamen (XMN) [FAT 007310]. Amazon took delivery of a 737-800SF (30291, ex-Air Europa) on lease from Aero Capital Solutions [FAT 007372]. Air Incheon will lease a 737-800SF (32361, ex-SunExpress) from Macquarie AirFinance [FAT 007381]. DHL Express inducted for conversion a 737-800 (28325, ex-SAS). The aircraft will be converted with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in Tianjin (TSN) [FAT 007373]. Spectre Air Capital took redelivery of a 737-800BDSF (30197, ex-SAS) after conversion with IAI at TSN [FAT 007379]. BAE Systems took delivery of a 737-800SF (29984, ex-Jin Air) on lease from Aero Capital Solutions [FAT 007384]. DHL Express acquired a 737-800BDSF (30197, ex-SAS) from Spectre Air Capital [FAT 007385]. ASL Airlines acquired and inducted for conversion a 737-800 (33804, ex-Ryanair). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing in Jinan (TNA) [FATs 007391-7392]. ASL Aviation Holdings placed an order for ten 737-800BCF conversions with Boeing, with options for ten more [FATs 007407-7426]. China Central Longhao Airlines took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (35755, ex-Hainan Airlines) after conversion with Boeing at CAN [FAT 007400]. My Jet Xpress acquired two 737-300Fs (28657 and 28662, ex-YTO Cargo Airlines) [FATs 007347-7348]. Interjet West acquired two 737-300Fs (23569 and 23578, both ex-West Atlantic [FATs 007386-7389]. Buffalo Airways acquired a 737-300BDSF (23512, ex-Swift Air) [FAT 007390]. USA Jet Airlines took redelivery of an MD-88SF (53115, ex-Delta Air Lines) after conversion with AEI in Dothan (DHN) [FAT 007398]. Amazon placed two ATR 72-500Fs (714, ex-Air New Zealand, and 682, ex-MAP Linhas Aereas) with Silver Airways for CMI operation [FATs 007363 and 007365]. Jetstream Aviation Capital took redelivery of a Saab 340BF (351, ex-Calm Air) after conversion with Taby Air Maintenance and placed it on lease to Castle Aviation [FATs 007300-7302].
