总部位于阿塞拜疆的丝绸之路货运航空与日本航空的子公司日本航空货运公司，将在前者执行的阿塞拜疆至日本的货运航班实现代码共享。丝绸之路货运航空表示，其计划将阿塞拜疆巴库比纳机场（GYD）与日本小松机场（KYQ）之间的航线频率，从每周三班增加至每周四班，并以巴库作为中转枢纽，提升欧洲与日本之间的航空运能。

2017年12月28日至2018年1月11日，总部位于阿联酋阿布扎比的阿提哈德航空，将其全部五架空客330货机停航并存放。阿提哈德航空的一位新闻发言人告诉《ch-aviation》，这些货机现在“正处于向新买家兜售的关键阶段”。目前，阿提哈德航空的剩余机队包括5架波音777货机，以及不止一架的向波音公司订购的波音777货机订单。
