Freighter aircraft transactions through mid-August

Every week in Cargo Facts Update, we include a list of recent freighter aircraft transactions, and then a comprehensive summary in the monthly issue of Cargo Facts. Each reference to a freighter aircraft transaction (FAT) in our publications contains a unique FAT code linked to the FAT database on the CargoFacts.com website. Below, we include the transactions from recent issues of Cargo Facts Update, and we encourage you to make use of the FAT database here on our website.

Astral Aviation ACMI-leased a 747-400BDSF (25700) from Air Atlanta Icelandic [FAT 004610]. This is the second 747F the Kenya-based carrier is ACMI-leasing from Air Atlanta Icelandic and complements Astral’s existing 747-400F. Astral-affiliate, Network Airline Management (NAM) also manages a third 747-400BCF that is operated by AAI.

EgyptAir Cargo took redelivery of the first passenger-to-freighter converted A330-200 (600) from EFW, the MRO and conversion joint venture of ST Aerospace Engineering and Airbus [FAT 004616].

A 767-300ER (35156, ex-Shanghai Airlines) was ferried to Taipei (TPE) for conversion into freighter configuration by Boeing at the EGAC facility [FAT 004618]. SF Airlines is confirmed as the conversion customer, and the aircraft’s sister ship (35155, also ex-Shanghai Airlines), which is currently in storage at Marana (MZJ), will also be converted for SF.

DHL Air to convert a 767-300 into BCF freighter configuration. The aircraft (27392, ex-Blue Panorama Airlines) was ferried from where it had been stored at Tarbes Airport (LDE), to ST Aerospace Engineering’s conversion center at Singapore’s Seletar (XSP) facility for conversion to freighter configuration by Boeing [FAT 004611].

FedEx took delivery of a 767-300F (62500) from Boeing [FAT 004617]. FedEx now operates sixty-one 767-300Fs and has sixty-five more on order.

Air Algérie took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (30202, ex-Air Algerie) following conversion to freighter configuration at the STAECO facility in Jinan by Boeing [FATs 004612]. This is the first of two 737-800BCF conversions the Algerian carrier has on order, and the second redelivery of a freighter-converted 737-800.

US-based Kalitta Charters II took redelivery of a 737-400F (25407) from Aeronautical Engineers, Inc., following conversion to freighter configuration [FAT 004619].

Aeronaves TSM ferried a CRJ 200 (7304, ex-ExpressJet Airlines) to Commercial Jet’s Dothan facility for conversion into freighter configuration by Aeronautical Engineers, Inc [FAT 004613]. This is the first of a total of four planned CRJ 200s TSM will induct for freighter conversion by AEI in 2018.
